The system looks for mutual fit across intent, timing, location, distance, and reliability instead of making people browse endlessly. If both people want the match, they can confirm the plan and move toward a real meetup.

How does the commitment stake work?

When two people confirm a meetup, each puts down a small commitment stake. The amount is based on the city and on each person's reliability history. It is meant to stay small, but still be enough that you feel it if the date falls apart. The stake can increase for people who cancel too late or no-show. If both people show up, it is released according to the rules for that meetup.

Why haven't I gotten a match yet?

Matches depend on enough people nearby with overlapping intent, timing, and location preferences. If it is taking longer, try widening your preferences and adding more available time slots. More people joining in your city also makes matching easier over time.

Endless browsing optimizes for time in app, not actually meeting. MatePoint keeps discovery narrow so attention goes toward people with reciprocal intent and compatible timing instead of endless window-shopping.

Open-ended chat creates drift, false momentum, and easy ghosting. MatePoint is built around a simpler rule: no chat, just real fun. Match, decide, and meet with only the information needed to do that confidently.

What if I can't find the meeting spot or I'm running late?

MatePoint keeps normal chat closed, but guided communication opens shortly before the planned meetup. Around 15 minutes before the date, you can send your ETA, say you're running late, or request and share a more precise meeting point. The goal is to make the meetup easy to find without reopening endless messaging.

When do I see available profiles?

MatePoint only shows available profiles when intent, timing, and location preferences align. Profile photos are revealed after a mutual system match. That keeps discovery private and prevents people from casually browsing faces without mutual intent.

Do you have a mobile app?

Not yet. MatePoint is currently web-only because of App Store and Play Store restrictions. You can save the site to your home screen and still get notifications through browser popups or email. We are working toward a mobile app version if demand is high enough.

When will MatePoint be active in my city?

MatePoint expands city by city as enough people join locally. Sharing it with your friends, group chats, and communities helps build density faster and can speed up rollout in your city.

What if we meet and want to see each other again?

People you have met stay in your Met list. If they share their availability with you, you can see when they are free and set up another date more easily, without starting from scratch.

What happens if someone cancels or doesn't show up?

If someone cancels too late or no-shows, the other person is compensated according to the platform rules in effect for that meetup. The goal is simple: showing up should be the default.
